Site Inspection

EVERY TENT INSTALL MUST BE FLAGGED FOR UTILITIES BY OUPS/811

The purpose of a site inspection is to ensure the renter and the rental company the tent ordered will fit the renters’ needs (and space) prior to arrival at the site. To ensure safety of the tent erection crews and the tent renter, before a tent can be erected the following conditions must be determined (either by the rental company or the renter)

Location:

After the proper tent size and style (frame tent vs. pole tent) has been determined, choose a desirable location for tent.

  1. The minimum area required for a pole tent is 8′ in length and width more than the actual tent size. This allows 4′ around all sides for stakes. (Example: a 20’x30′ POLE tent requires a minimum of 28’x38′)
  2. The minimum are required for a FRAME tent is approximately 1′ around the perimeter when staking and 6′ around the perimeter when using water barrels. (Example: A 20′ x 30′ FRAME tent requires a minimum of 21′ x 31′

Underground:

Surface:

Surface is also an important issue in determining the proper type of anchor. Listed below are the 3 main types of surface conditions and the stand methods of anchoring.

  1. Grass – Staked
  2. Asphalt – Staked / Concrete Blocks (Asphalt plugs available to patch holes)
  3. Concrete – Concrete Anchors

Asphalt plugs are available to replace holes. Site inspections can be performed by Reliable Rental Inc. employees for an additional charge. Please note: All tents are meant as a temporary shelter and must be evacuated under extreme weather conditions. Tents are NOT guaranteed, 100% waterproofs.
